Winter Percussion Show Design Marching Percussion Exercies and Warm-ups Educational Consultation Private Instruction Audio Recording Rates  We can write original arrangements for the battery and pit sections of your marching band or modify existing arrangements (legal copyright priveleges required). All you have to do is give us the wind score and an overview of the playing ability, size, instrumentation of the group. We also like to take into account your educational philosophy to be sure our scores provide an appropriate level of challenge, fun, and artistic expression for your group. We can also design a complete show for your winter drumline including the music for the pit and battery. It makes sense to have the show concept, music and visual design for a winter show to all be done by the same person or people. We can do any single part with the proper coordination, but prefer to design the entire show ourselves. Again, an overview of the group's playing ability, size and instrumentation along with educational philosophy are necessary to ensure we give you the best show for your group. Usually an instructional staff will include their own technique book and warm-up exercises in their teaching and will provide this for you. However, if you would like, we can provide a set of basic exercises as well as more complex technique work outs and even a few "parking lot jams" if you'd like. These are available by specific request for now. We work as a team of instructors for the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology drumline in Alexadria, Virginia and are employed full time in so far as we are not available for regular drumline or pit instruction for other schools. However, it is very important for show designers to be involved with the group performing their music. We are available depending on scheduling and location to visit your school periodically and help ensure the success of our writing. If you'd like we can offer opinion on performance technique as well, but that's up to you and your own percussion instructional staff. We offer private percussion instruction in the Northern Virginia area. We can offer concert or marching percussion lessons starting this summer and next fall. We will discuss location of lessons on a case by case basis. Rates are competitive with other local teachers. Lessons are one-on-one with either Brett or Steve. If we are not taking new students when you contact us, we will recommend other teachers that we know of in your area. Unfortunately we no longer have a link for this service as our good friend providing the service has moved to Mexico to live his dream after winning an orchestral timpani job. Rates are negotiable and variable. These are our general ranges but we can work within your budget if need be. Catalogues will offer lower prices, but our music will be custom designed to fit your student's needs. We will adjust our writing for groups of any size or ability level. Fall Marching Percussion Score Pit and Battery: $1700 Pit or battery only: $900 Winter Drumline Show Design (We recommend including consultation with this) Music: $2200 Visual: $1500 Full show design with music and visual: $3500 Exercises, Warm ups, battery jams and pit tunes Battery and pit exercises are not written to be played together. Basic battery or pit warm up book: $100 Advanced technique builders for battery or pit: $200 Individual battery jam or pit tune: will discuss on an individual basis.
